Building an Audience

In my last blog post, I referred to my experience teaching.  Again, I can’t think of a better analogy than that of the classroom.  I still believe that, as a teacher, you can learn just as much from the students as you strive to teach them.

I think there is a great life-lesson there.

As far as social media, it is important to not only be so focused on what you think is so important to post – but, listen to your audience and interact with your audience. Not only will you have a better understanding of what your audience responds to, but your audience may actually be giving you content [without realizing it].

Just as it takes time and creativity to write content that engages and attracts an audience, it takes time to study your audience, make the effort to identify and become personal with your social market, their interests, their personality, their questions and what your product or service can do for them.

Content + Audience = Customers
