“You don’t get paid for the hour. You get paid for the value you bring to the hour.”
I have been taking checks from clients and doing all of my own book keeping. Now, I need to be able to accept credit cards from clients and I need a more efficient system of keeping up with my expenses and income. So, what do I do?
I want to be able to log into one place, maintain client information, produce invoices, send invoices via email, receive payment, have it accounted for and balances stay up-to-date… and, if there was a possibility to send out group emails or newsletters too, that would be quite the thing!
I have looked into several options like: PayPal, Square Simple Pay, Stripe or Intuit Quick Books. But, there are so many things to consider! I don’t have a store front, only contract consulting-based services. There are pros and cons to every option:
- Set Up Fee
- Security of Client’s Private Information
- Cancellation Fee
- Monthly Fees
- Transaction Fees
- Additional Fees
- Maintenance Fees
- Streamline Billing
- Manage Customers
- Reoccurring Payments
- Web Payment Forms
What do you use and why? I’d like to know… I’d like to get paid!
